More Photo Shoots!!!! And a Question.

I have not just one photo shoot to do, but 5!!!! I am so excited!! This is exactly what I have been wanting for years! Now I am finally getting the chance to do the thing I love the most... and get paid for it!!
So, does anyone have thoughts on copyrights? Should I start this now, or wait until I'm a little more known? If I do copyright my photos, what should I charge for getting them printed?

Wow I am impressed! I'm glad you are getting to do something you enjoy. When my friend took our photos she put them on a cd for us and we printed our own.

As far as I know, your work is automatically copyrighted...you just have to *remind* folks sometimes with a stamp on the front or your written initials~it's too easy these days for people to copy photos(it happened to me...can be quite frustrating). The best way to figure prices is to get on the phone or computer and see what the going rate per print is in your area and figure from there.

YES!!! Be sure your customers understand that your work is copyrighted! You can give them a release form that gives them permission to copy the photos. Most photo places (especially like Wal-Mart) won't copy photos even from cd without that form. It protects you and your source of income.
I'm so glad you are getting work so quickly!!!
